Sanam Saeed, renowned Pakistani actress and model, is to hit the screens across Pakistan and India as an Indian girl in Nasir Khan’s romantic thriller, Bachaana. The actress has already captured the hearts of fans across India with offers from multiple Bollywood movies alongside the screening of her drama serial on Zindagi Channel especially for her role in “Zindagi Gulzar Hai”. Playing lead against Mohib Mirza, the duo is set to make the film a complete hit at par with any other A-grade Bollywood film.
Neil Sadwelkar – Bollywood’s post production guru who has worked on films such as Slumdog Millionaire, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Omkara, Don & The Reluctant Fundamentalist had this to say about Bachaana, “The trailer of Bachaana looks fantastic. The film looks so fresh and entertaining and judging from the visuals I haven’t seen Mauritius shot this well in a very long time.”

Speaking about her experience working on Bachaana, Sanam Saeed has said, “I thoroughly enjoyed the script and Aalia’s character, she was very unlike the roles I had played before. All of us in whatever way we can are wanting to and trying to bridge the gaps and differences between India and Pakistan. We have been die-hard fans of their movies for decades, and now they are enjoying our story telling through the small screens. Our actors are crossing borders and so are our stories now. And that is what I saw in Bachaana, the film is light and easy. I was really enjoying getting in to Aalia’s character with the mannerisms and clothes and diction.  I had tons of help and references and advice on authentic Indian girls from the team we were working with. At the end of the day though, Aalia is a south Asian girl that I am very familiar with, whether she be Indian or Pakistani. This is a contemporary easy, breezy, feel good rom com. I’m sure audiences for India and Pakistan will both enjoy this fun zesty story.”
Bachaana is the first feature film of Nasir Khan as a director, who has gained prominence for his work presented at the Mumbai International Film Festival for his documentary Made in Pakistan. With cast and crew from both Pakistan and India, making acquaintance with each other for the first time on the set, the film has truly captures cross-boundary relations on and off screen. Filmed in Mauritius, the production team conducted the largest talent hunt to find actors in the neutral landscape. With eye-catching scenery, music composed by top Pakistani talent, and a new-take on Indo-Pak relations, the movie is set to cause a stir.
“From the script to the actual shoot in Mauritius it truly has been an adventure and If I were to sum up the film in one line I would use the following dialogue from the movie “Ladki Hindustani ho ya Pakistani, ladki ladki hoti hai.” said Director Nasir Khan.

Bachaana is a journey of a sweet and bubbly Indian girl, Aalia, played by Sanam Saeed, who undergoes a series of unfortunate events and is forced to place her faith in a man she hardly knows. That man, Vicky (Mohib Mirza) is a Pakistani driving a taxi in Mauritius. Bachaana follows the couple’s adventurous journey of love.
Produced by Rizwan Saeed, well-known locally and internationally for his technical achievements in film production, Bachaana is one of the most technologically shot films in Pakistan and India.

Ali Zafar to do a road trip movie with Huma Qureshi

Ali Zafar to do a road trip movie with Huma Qureshi
Just a few days ago, Pakistani actor Ali Zafar had announced that he was taking a break from Bollywood to focus on his self-produced debut Pakistani movie. But the latest report has revealed that Pakistani heartthrob Ali Zafar will be doing another Bollywood movie, about a road trip, against Huma Qureshi, the lead actress of Bollywood movie, ‘Gang of Wasseypur.’
In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, an Indian newspaper, Ali Zafar revealed that “It is a very special year for me. I just had a daughter, shifted to a new house and making a film in Pakistan… I have not rejected films here, I have just excused myself from them… But there’s one idea which I have really liked and am contemplating it.” And now, it seems like that Ali has really liked the one idea and decided to go for it. The name of the movie is not finalized yet.

The road trip movie will be directed by Abhishek Dogra and co-produced by Ahmed Khan and Bhusham Kumar. Confirming this, Ahmed told “It’s a film about a road trip. But we aren’t going to Spain or some exotic country in Europe. India is a picturesque country too with many virgin locales which works cinematically for a film like this,” reported Times of India.
