Reel life intimacy makes Fawad uncomfortable

Keeping the cultural sensibilities of his homeland in mind, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has requested the makers of his next film to tone down the intimate scenes between him and Alia Bhatt, reported the Times of India.
After making his Bollywood debut with Khoobsurat late last year, Khan has become one of the most sought after actors but the Pakistani star is taking his time before agreeing to any project. As of yet he has only committed to two projects; Reema Kagti’s next with Priyanka Chopra and Shakun Batra’s love triangle involving Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
According to earlier reports by the Mirror, Siddharth and Alia who are also dating in real life have an intense love making scene in the movie but now there are reports suggesting Khan would also be required to shoot a steamy scene for the film .
A source close to the production revealed that, “Fawad (Khan) is not comfortable with the idea of getting physical in reel life. Even in his TV shows, Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai, which are romantic family dramas, there’s no kissing or touching involved. The sex is implied. Both his leading ladies get pregnant, though they only drink chai. Fawad is extremely sensitive to the sensibilities of his conservative countrymen and has told Shakun (Batra) and Karan (Johar) to water down the scene, to rely on allusion rather than actual action. And during his next visit to Mumbai they will sit down and work together on the scene to ensure that it does not spark off any controversy.”
The film which goes into production in April also stars Rishi Kapoor as the grandfather of the boys who later turns mediator when things take a turn for the worse.
